TECHNICAL AND ECONOMIC FEASIBILITY OF OFF-GRID PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEMS FOR IRRIGATION

In rural areas, the electricity supply is affected by problems such as low quality and limited access in some regions. The use of renewable sources, with decentralized generation, can offer an alternative to existing scenario. objective this work perform a technical economic analysis off-grid photovoltaic systems, without energy storage, intended for irrigation. Photovoltaic systems from different irrigation were sized, power ratings 0.736 29.44 kW. Their feasibility was determined based on period availability solar radiation restriction variables. Economic indicators net present value (NPV), internal rate return (IRR), benefit/cost ratio (B/C) profitability index (PI). Feasible operation found motors up 11.04 kW; however, that required higher powers, number operating hours available less than minimum required. NPV, IRR, B/C PI showed increasing values function power. Thus, storage are technically economically feasible
